"No tracking number” is the title of an object created by Niveau Zéro Atelier at the invitation of Disque Bleu and exhibited at the Jeu De Paume in winter 2021. It dialogues with a bouquet of flowers created for the occasion by Disque Bleu.

Opened at the end of the 19th century, the Jardin des Tuileries, in which the Jeu de Paume building is located, was one of the first public parks in Europe. Before that, the garden designed by André le Nôtre was reserved for the rich and powerful. Exploring these local stories in fine detail, the heavy sculpture is made from stone taken from the demolition of the former royal post office, not far from the museum. The plaster details of a transport box have been added to the stone. A box that, being too heavy, has given up all mobility. Inside the box is a bas-relief cast from the flowers on the outside of the Tuilerie garden. For a long time, these flowers were the only sign accessible to everyone of the splendour of the park's interior.

Disque Bleu's answer is a classic French bouquet of flowers, with a flat rather than round surface, reminiscent of a royal garden. The floral arrangement is made up of roses bearing the name of André le Nôtre. However, these noble roses are complemented by carnations: a flower that embodies both love and sadness. Grown in the ashes of the Tuilerie palace after the Commune, they brought back to the public what had long been hidden, but are also a reminder of centuries of injustice. This duality resonates with the ambiguity of the Niveau Zero Atelier object, which is ultimately an unaddressed, slightly sarcastic love letter containing the DNA of 'the city of love', impossible to send or receive.
